Niños en alta permanencia en calle, una mirada desde sus narrativas y experiencias.
Abstract
El presente trabajo de grado muestra los resultados de la investigación desarrollada alrededor de la experiencia de niños y niñas en alta permanencia en calle y su relación con los entornos sociales y culturales, centrados especialmente en la familia, la escuela y la calle. La importancia de este análisis radica en el hecho hallar niños en alta permanencia en calle en la ciudad de Bogotá, en constante aumento, dada la creciente pobreza de la ciudad. Para ello, evidenciamos que el fenómeno del niño en la calle o en situación de vida en calle es posible rastrearlo desde mediados del siglo XVI, y se puede ver como una constante hasta el siglo XXI. Factores como la pobreza, el abandono, el maltrato y la ruptura de los lazos familiares son comúnmente asociados con este tipo de “infancia”. Así mismo, los términos con los cuales se hace referencia a los niños en la calle han evolucionado con el tiempo y conforme avanzan las investigaciones, desde ‘chino’ ‘gamín’ ‘vago’, hasta ‘delincuente’. Con base en lo anterior, la investigación se propuso analizar la incidencia que tiene la familia, la escuela y la calle en las experiencias de vida narradas por cinco niños de alta permanencia en calle en la ciudad de Bogotá, indagando las condiciones específicas de su existencia en cada una de ellas de manera profunda y reflexiva.
Abstract
The present degree paper shows the results of the research developed around the experience of children in high street permanence and their relationship with social and cultural environments, with a special focus on the family, school and the street. The importance of this analysis lies in the fact that children are found in the city of Bogota, in a constant increase, given the growing poverty of the city. To this end, we show that the phenomenon of children in the street or living in the street is traceable from the middle of the 16th century, and can be seen as a constant until the 21st century. Factors such as poverty, neglect, abuse and breaking family ties are commonly associated with this type of "childhood". Likewise, the terms used to refer to street children have evolved over time and as investigations have progressed, from 'Chino' to 'Gamin' to 'Vago' to 'Delinquent'. Based on the above, the research aimed to analyze the incidence that has the family, school and street in the life experiences narrated by five children of high permanence in the street in the city of Bogota, investigating the specific conditions of their existence in each of them in a profound and reflective way.
