Abstract
This article presents the experience of practice I in the observation of practical laboratory work (TPL) in Chemistry for first semester students of Civil Engineering at the Santo Tomas de Aquino University. For which a structured observation work is done inside the laboratory and in the theoretical classes (Observation through records in the field diary, Interview, Documents collection), proceed to select the TPL that represent the greatest danger to health and to the environment, subsequently, a matrix is built to collect the observations obtained from the accompaniment in the experimental activity and finally the interview with the tenured teacher to know his perspectives. In conclusion, as teachers in initial training, the observation and evaluation of practical laboratory work makes it possible to understand the work dynamics that take place within them, acquire visions of the behaviors and attitudes of the students and the teacher, value their perspectives, in addition, to analyze the importance of identifying and preventing accidents to health and the environment in order to improve the implementation and performance of the practices.
